Here’s my morning prayer, “Be Glorified” by Don Moen
Jesus tells us this in more ways than one, about forgiveness and mercy. In the Lord’s Prayer we say “forgive us our trespasses/debts as we forgive those who trespass against us.” He ties how merciful we are here on earth to how much mercy and forgiveness we will get at the Judgment. “As you measure it shall be measured unto you” Well, that’s enough motivation for me.
What is ‘mercy’? Mercy means to give someone something they don’t deserve, or to not give a bad thing to someone that deserves it. So, on the one hand, to feed the hungry is not ‘if they deserve it’ because that would be justice. It is a ‘Work of Mercy’ when they don’t deserve it. and, on the other hand, forgiveness is a mercy. If someone has hurt us in some way, and we want to take the ‘eye for an eye’, to refrain from hurting them back is merciful.
I invite reflections on this in the comments section.
Come, drink of the Mercy of Jesus Christ

I want to have the Chaplet in various languages here. I’ll start with English today. I can post it in other languages in the comment section.
